WORK : Round-up of Pop:IN
We had the best time at our first ever pop-up shop, Pop:IN, last week! It was amazing to see all of the support for independent businesses and to share the joy of shopping small. As well as running the shop, we also had a super fun morning of influencer events and we thought we’d give you a round-up of what we got up to!
Before opening our doors on Thursday 16th May, in the bustling heart of Shoreditch, we welcomed influencers The Lovely Drawer (@thelovelydrawer), Ruby Peng (@wanderlustruby), Camilla Mount (@camillamount), Alexia Booker (@lostfoundkeep), Emma (@thecrapflat), Emma Block (@emmablockillustration), Taylor Fuller (@taylor_fuller) and Emma Jane Palin (@emmajanepalin) for workshops, discussions, chats, a browse of the shop and a cup of tea or two!
The first workshop was held by maker and illustrator Holly St Clair (@hollidaystclair), who showed our guests how to make colourful pinatas. We’d never made a pinata before so it was such a unique and fab idea for a workshop. Next up was a mood boarding exercise from Plenaire (@plenaire_official) founder Namrata Kamdar, as well as an insight into her upcoming skincare brand, which we can’t wait to get our hands on! Last but not least, and as equally exciting as the two previous workshops, guests learnt how to make their very own gorgeous terrazzo tiles from Katie Gillies (@ktgilles_surfacedesign).
To set the scene even more, caffeine boosts were supplied by cold brew coffee from Sandows (@sandows) and by an array of teas from Joe’s Tea Co. (@joesteaco). Super cute velvet sofas were provided by London-based furniture hire company Juno Hire, (@juno_hire) and as day turned to evening, guests at Pop:IN’s launch night could sip on alcoholic sodas by Crooked Beverage Co. (@crookedbevco) and wine from Most Wanted Wines (@mostwantedwines).
Thank you again to all the wonderful independent brands involved with our Pop:IN event: The Workbench, MOSS, Loela, Katie Gillies, Studio KJP, Today, Lucian, Moxon, Positive Planner, Holly St Clair, Lima Lima, Herd bags, The Lovely Drawer, Make Heads Turn, Supernormal, Olive & Frank, Bennita Adair George, Twin Pines, McIndoe Design, Whitechapel, Smart Squid, Jaggery London, Hiffy Ulrich, Cuemars, Peas and Needles and to everyone who stopped by!
We’ve pulled together some of our favourite snaps from Sophie Carefull (@sophiecarefull) to share with you. We hope you love them!
