WORK : Spring Wharf launch events

To celebrate the upcoming launch of Spring Wharf, a new and exciting residential development in Bath, Weekend:IN ran three events encompassing and promoting the values of this innovative venture, alongside branding agency Identity London.

Spring Wharf stands out from the crowd thanks to its refreshing and practical approach to modern living: no letting fees, flexible contracts, a 24-hour on-site team, high-speed broadband pre-installed, the freedom to decorate your home as you wish, and your pets are welcome too!

‘Built for rent, designed for life’, is Spring Wharf’s motto, and innovation, care and inclusivity are at the heart of the business. Supporting independents and building a sense of community are two principles we care deeply about here at Weekend:IN, so it was a joy to create and run three events with these values in mind. Here are some of the things we got up to…

Beer tasting with Palmer Street Bottle

Spring Wharf includes a resident’s lounge; the perfect place to catch up with old friends and a great way to meet the neighbours too. Our aim with this first event was to create a sense of community that will be prevalent in the resident’s lounge. With a beer tasting from local craft beer connoisseurs Palmer Street Bottle, as well as traditional Italian style pizza from the Bath Pizza Co, guests could sit back, relax, enjoy the delicious food and drink, and most importantly, have a good old chat.

Kokedama workshop with Pilea Plant Shop

Another great feature within the Spring Wharf development is allotment benches, meaning vegetables, fruits and herbs can be planted and plucked just outside your front door. Growing your own produce can give you a real sense of pride and independence, as well as being a great way of bringing the outdoors in (which can be tricky in many rental flat situations). We wanted to emulate that closeness to nature, and what better way than by making Kokedamas with the lovely Frome-based Pilea Plant Shop?! These stylish hanging plants would make the perfect addition to any home. The workshop was made even more enjoyable thanks to the yummy bakes from Bath-based Vegan coffee shop, Cascara.

Brunch with Acorn restaurant

In our last event, guests came together over a delicious, plant-based meal provided by award-winning Bath restaurant, Acorn. Surrounded by stylish, bespoke interiors, thanks to Kibre Interiors, this was a wonderful chance for guests to envisage life at Spring Wharf. Perhaps they themselves could make a brunch from scratch, using produce from their allotment benches? And who could say no to a warm, welcoming flat, a glass of bubbly and a table full of friends? We’re packing our bags!
