WORK : 2018 Round Up
As 2019 is just around the corner we’re taking the chance to reminisce on what a wonderful and busy year Weekend:IN has had. From events to working with new inspiring businesses, we are excited to share what we’ve been up to!
We began the year doing what we do best, connecting and inspiring independent businesses at our first ever ‘How To Build A Brand’ event - a day of inspiring talks and workshops led by successful and creative business owners such as Wonderland Communications and Lionheart Mag.
Also in January, we expanded our list of brilliant brands we work with, now including MOSS, an inspiring lifestyle brand, working on their influencer marketing and PR campaigns.
February featured an exciting networking event, ‘Women in Business’ a collaboration between Weekend:IN and BumbleBizz, it was a great opportunity to share what we know about influencer marketing alongside a friend of ours and fellow business owner, Gabi Cox.
We continued to build our group of amazing brands in March with new brand, Juno Hire, offering fresh and luxurious furniture hire, we started working on their social media, email newsletter and blog content. After our Bristol ‘How To Build A Brand’ event proved to be a success, we collaborated with other successful brand owners for the 2nd event in London.
It was spring break for Weekend:IN at Elmley Nature Reserve with Canopy and Stars for our slow living retreat filled with talks, workshops and relaxation for the influencers attending.
The month of April included a huge milestone for Weekend:IN as we moved into our first office! An upgrade from the 9 to 5’s in cafes and a new space to fuel our passions! The remainder of the month continued to deliver, we hosted Bubbleology’s Bristol launch event, and our client Juno Hire went live.
May began with hosting a launch event for the Emma Nutrition programme at Mud Australia, so many delicious dishes! Then as the sun made an appearance so did our Summer Weekend:IN influencer event, a day of activities from lovely independent brands.
Our third ‘How To Build a Brand’ event took place in Bruton with talks and workshops from Sophie French, These Four Walls Blog and The Bakemonger. At the end of May, Phoebe Slee joined the team as our Digital Marketing assistant. Now making us a small team of three! We also worked on an influencer campaign surrounding ‘Community over Competition’ to spread the word of the launch of the new Coven Girl Gang.
June arrived and we ran the ‘How To Market a Brand’ in Brighton and London, a fab day with amazing speakers and lovely attendees. We also welcomed a new social media client, Spring Wharf, a brand new rental development in Bath.
In July we hosted The Workbench London’s first ever Bristol event, attended by local Bristol influencers, and our client, Shoreditch Nails, reached 10k followers on Instagram!
August was exciting as we were featured on Simple and Season’s Grow with Soul podcast, it was great to chat with Kayte about all things influencer marketing. We also began working with Rogue Wines, working on everything from brand guidelines, to organising their first photoshoot, and continuing to work on social media. Working with this brand and running their social media has been so much fun!
Weekend:IN’s founder, Olivia, left the office in September for 5 weeks of exploring, visiting exciting places such as Toronto, New York, Miami and Cuba. With the team back in Bristol, there were still lot’s exciting things happening at the office - MOSS were featured in the iPaper telling their fascinating story, and during October we began working with two new brands, The Extra Mile Guide and Meanwhile Creative.
Christmas started early in November with our team heading to Bath for an overnight girls trip and lots of exploring and relaxing at Dream Stays Bath.
As December arrived Olivia was featured on Lizzie Evan’s ‘How To Curate Your Life Podcast’ to chat about her experience growing Weekend:IN. And started working with our newest client, Plenaire who will be launching in 2019, as well as planning lot’s of other new and exciting projects we’re working on for you to look out for!
