WORK : Weekend:IN Christmas Event 2016
Weekend:IN held a Christmas influencer event full of creative workshops, talks, food and fun. The aim was to bring together quality IN:fluencers and IN:dependent businesses in an authentic weekend event.
The first Weekend:IN influencer event was held at The Chickenshed in Monmouthshire, focusing on South West and Wales based influencers with a festive theme.
The weekend was split into sessions hosted by unique independent brands, including Papersmiths, Caro Somerset, Seven Boot Lane, Tallulah Rose Flower School, The Juice Collective and Wildflower Illustration Co. The activities during the weekend included flatlay styling sessions, a wreath making workshop, lunch/dinner sessions, Christmas card making, juice and wine tasting and more.
As well as brands getting involved with the different sessions during the event, they could also choose to sponsor an area of the house or be included within goody bags. Brands that got involved in product placement or goody bags included Ohh Deer, Scout Editions, Willy Chases, Bluebird Tea Co, Dr Paw Paw and more.
There were 10-12 quality influencers attending on each day as well as 3 of the highest followed influencers staying for the whole weekend. Influencers included TigerLillyQuinn, That Kat, Capture by Lucy, Kym Grimshaw and Rebecca Kathryn.
The hashtag #WKNDIN was used over 200 times, reaching 340,000 accounts and over 816,000 impressions.
