WORK : 2017 Round Up
It has been a busy first year for Weekend:IN! We have been so lucky to work with a vast range of independent businesses and to have met so many cool and creative people along the way. We can't wait to share with you our plans for 2018, but for now, here's what Weekend:IN got up to in 2017...
We kicked the year off working with More Wine On Tap, an eco-friendly wine company, managing their social media platforms.
Flying high on the success of our Christmas 2016 Event, our first influencer event of 2017 happened in March and highlighted the gorgeous lingerie brand Fleur of England's SS17 Collection. Nine influencers attended the event at Leman Locke in London and were treated to a two-course meal and to try on some of the new collection. Guests went home with their phones full of pictures and were soon posting and talking about the new range online.
Also in March, we started a two-month influencer marketing campaign with the stationery brand Ola, to promote their beautiful designs. This was a great success, with Ola reaching new audiences of up to 170,000 on Instagram.
On April 28th, the official Weekend:IN website and branding was launched! Soon after, in May, we started working with shoreditch nails, providing them with social media management and influencer marketing. We're so pleased to say that shoreditch nails has gone from strength to strength, so much so that they were completely booked up a few weeks in advance for the whole Christmas period!
At the end of May, Weekend:IN organised the launch party for the Crane29 Project, a treehouse built around a crane on Bristol's waterfront. Guests were treated to 6 O'Clock Gin and nature-themed food from Kate's Kitchen.
After a luscious trip to Portugal, we were back to work with their third influencer event; A Summer of Colour, taking place over a weekend in July. With around twenty influencers in attendance at The Shed, a chic converted barn in Somerset, guests enjoyed flatlay styling sessions, pom pom headdress making, lunch/dinner sessions, cocktail making, and even a pyjama party! This month also saw Weekend:IN founder, Olivia interviewed by South West Business, calling her 'the influencer of influencers'.
In September, Weekend:IN accompanied shoreditch nails to Bestival where they set up shop at the Tiki Nail Bar on the festival site. We snapped behind the scenes images and videos for Instagram (and had a lot of fun with the amazing team!).
In early October Weekend:IN was accepted onto Natwest's Entrepreneurial Spark program, meaning we will be pushed to grow bigger and better in the months to come! In the following month, on November 22nd, we held our fourth and biggest influencer event which took place once more at Leman Locke (we loved it too much to resist!) with wonderful influencers and amazing independent brands. We were so pleased to have the lovely Sophie Carefull taking the snaps on the day (as well as at our previous events - thank you!).
December was a month for planning. The first Weekend:IN event of 2018 takes place in January, entitled How to Build a Brand, the day will be made up of four speakers, all key independent business owners and will take place at the beautiful Court House Farm in Portishead. We were so happy to sell all the tickets in under a month!
